Our first quarantine birthday happened May 2020 in our household. My oldest wanted legos so we picked the simple theme to work. Just because we couldn’t do our typical spread and have friends over we tried to make it as special as possible.

We started with the door decorated with the primary colors so when he woke up and opened the door it would pour into his room. This is such a fun surprise for the child and easy to do the night before once the kid is asleep. The balloons are just filled with air.

How to: Start at the bottom, one streamer at a time and fill the balloons as you go up.

We had our amazing friend Stefanie at Cakes by Frosted do our themed cake. We did funfetti cake inside and balloons. With some our our homemake cookies as well.

Remember to keep things simple so you don’t add more stress. Outsource anything that doesn’t give you joy.
