| Valentines Breakfast |

Valentines is a made up holiday for sure but why not have an extra day to show your kids some love. I feel that people either love the holiday or don’t care for it. My husband and I haven’t ever done much for each other since restaurants are usually over crowded and even flowers are over prices. So once we had kids we decided to make it an intensional family day, where its full of celebration and love. The boys woke up to a Valentines breakfast.

I went to Paper Source and got just one sheet of wrapping paper to use as the table cloth. The boys didn’t get any food on it so I was actually able to reuse it and wrap a pretty present with it later. With just a few heart plates and love napkins the boys enjoyed all the details. I even bought potted tulips so we could plant them together after words as our centerpiece. We got one balloon per kid for their “gift”. Trick: If you get mylar ones they last a lot longer so the kids can play with them all week and if you really wanted to be thrifty you could save them for the next year once they deflate. We save the “Happy Valentines Day” and “Be Mine” signs for each year to decorate as well.

The boys were so excited to wake up to a Valentine’s Party. It set the day up for success with a big breakfast and excitement for what was to come at school. We wanted to make sure no matter how many valentines they got at school they would know they are SO loved at home.
